Globalstar Data Kit

The Globalstar Data Kit provides Internet and e-mail access at the industry's fastest data speed of 9.6 KBps through the Globalstar handheld phone. A five-foot data cable connects the phone directly to an IBM-compatible computer (RS232 -compatible serial port). The kit includes a data cable, quick start card, and a CD-ROM containing customized software and user manuals.

Equipment Requirements

• Direct Internet Access - software version 4.7 or higher**
• Direct Dial-up Access - software version 5.2 or higher**
• A computer, PDA, or other computer devices capable of Internet access using dial-up PPP (Point to Point Protocol) via an external modem connection
• Certain PDAs or computers may require additional adapters and cables

Data Billing Structure

Data calls are based on airtime used and not the size of the message. Please visit the Globalstar Airtime Pricing website for more information regarding airtime pricing for Globalstar data-capable phones.
