Iridium 9601 SBD Transceiver Kit

The 9601 SBD bundle combines the global coverage of the Iridium satellite constellation with the low latency of the Iridium Short Burst Data Service (SBD) in a small, low-cost transceiver design.  In addition, a year's worth of service plus 100 kb worth of usage.   Additional units of usage can be added with the extra feature of automatic email notification as usage gets low.

The 9601 unit is smaller, lighter, draws less power and costs less than other satellite transceivers. However, the 9601 is an Iridium manufactured product designed as an OEM module for integration into applications that only use the Iridium Short Burst Data Service.  The 9601 is a developer's kit for use in an existing box or design.  Short Burst Data applications are supported through an RS232 interface.
