M. Brian Barnett
Albuquerque - Brian Barnett is founder and President of SatWest Consulting,
a management consultancy and marketer/developer of satellite communications
devices and non-destructive test equipment. In addition to founding
other entrepreneurial ventures, Mr. Barnett has provided strategic
business services
to multiple technology-based startups over the years. As a management
consultant, he has developed business strategies and provided analytic
services for more
than 50 different technical organizations. Prior to starting his own
companies, Mr. Barnett was manager with KPMG Consulting (now Bearing
Point) where he
provided strategy and business planning services to multinational corporations
and advanced technology government laboratories. With KPMG he established
and managed the management consulting practice in New Mexico. He began
his career at NASA where he managed space shuttle experiments and contributed
to astronaut crew training for Spacelab missions. Mr. Barnett earned
a B.S.
in microbiology from the University of Oklahoma in 1985, and achieved
an M.S. in management from the University of Alabama in Huntsville
in 1988. He pursued post-graduate studies at the International Space
University in
Strasbourg, France.
Glen Martin
Los Angeles - Glen Martin is founder and Managing Principal of Pod
Consulting Group LLC in Los Angeles, where he provides consulting services
to an array of government, wireless, satellite, media and entertainment
industry clients including the KPMG Space and High Technology practice.
Prior to this,
Glen held positions with DirecTV Interactive, Hughes Information Technology
Systems, Control Data Systems and Boeing Space Systems Company where
he worked with NASA on the International Space Station. Glen holds
a B.E. in Aerospace
Engineering from Ryerson Polytechnical University and an M.B.A. from
the University of Southern California.
Scott Gilbert
Silicon Valley - Scott Gilbert has worked in a variety of high-technology
sectors including nanotechnology, data analytics, satellite communications
and interactive new media. Scott has held several roles throughout
his career, as a consultant for the KPMG Space and High Technology
practice, as a co-founder
and Director of Marketing for a Silicon Valley software start up and
as an independent consultant. Recent consulting engagements include
development of business plan and product analysis for a new media startup,
a market
quantification,
segmentation and marketing study for a data visualization startup,
market quantification, segmentation and marketing study for a Fortune
500 aerospace
and defense firm. Scott holds a B.B.A. in both Marketing and International
Management from the University of New Mexico.
Nicholas Pantazis
Houston - Nicholas Pantazis has more than 16 years of business and
entrepreneurial experience. He is associated with SatWest Consulting
as founder of Integrated Strategic Systems (ISS). He is an authority
on business planning
and improvement, project management, technology commercialization,
and business development, drawing from experience in both the public
and private sectors.
He has conducted critical asset assessments for several organizations
looking to commercialize their technology. These efforts were utilized
as a strategic
planning tool to assist those organizations in determining which commercial
opportunities to pursue. In addition, He conducted a business case
analysis to determine the best use of facilities for a local airfield
in Houston,
Texas.
Mr. Pantazis has been involved in the aerospace community for much of his career and is currently supporting Boeing's Space Station Logistics Organization's reengineering efforts to move it from a Design, Development, Testing, and Evaluation (DDT&E) environment toward an operational environment. This effort is expected to reduce the cost to the NASA customer by over 25%. He is a co-author of The Art of Business Process Management and the Johnson Space Center Work Process Improvement Guidebook. These books present a methodology for identifying, prioritizing, and improving business processes in organizations. More than 10,000 people have utilized these publications. Prior to founding ISS, Mr. Pantazis was a founding partner with Shebay & Pantazis, LLC, and a consultant with KPMG. He holds an M.B.A. degree from the University of Houston, Clear Lake and a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M University.
Dante Di Gregorio
Albuquerque - Mr. Di Gregorio has recently accepted a professorship
position with the University of New Mexico Anderson School of Business
while completing his Ph.D. in international management at the University
of Maryland.
He has been a management consultant since the early 1990s when he provided
market analysis of Latin American markets for a Canadian trade organization.
Mr. Di Gregorio has supported SatWest Consulting on numerous strategic
marketing engagements including support of Sandia's Mexico Renewable
Energy Program
market assessment. He brings to the Team a wealth of international
experience, market assessments, and Spanish language speaking skills.
Michael Potter
Los Angeles - Michael Potter is Director of Paradigm Ventures an international
venture capital firm focused on high technology ventures. Prior to
Paradigm Ventures, Potter was Vice Chairman, founder and President
of Esprit Telecom
plc, a pan-European competitive telecommunications services provider.
During his eight years at Esprit, he grew the company to 1,000 employees
in over
nine European countries and a market capitalization of a billion U.S.
dollars. He was formerly an international telecommunications analyst
at the Center
for Strategic & International Studies (CSIS) in Washington, D.C. Potter
was also Vice Chairman of the founding Board of the European Competitive
Telecommunications Association (ECTA). He is a director Global Connect.
His articles on high-technology business and policy have been widely
published.
Michael received his M.S. degree from the London School of Economics and his B.A. from California State University at Sacramento, and a certificate in Space Studies from the International Space University.
